as the title would imply, i shot this at a spot called Gordon's Pond, a little park among the Delaware beaches typically known for its bird watching. this was taken around noon. i tried this shot a bunch of different ways. i settled on this finished product which was taken with a yellow #2 filter, handheld at a small aperture (either f/16 or 22). the vignetting is natural. the contrast was boosted in-camera with the filter. otherwise, it is very much unaltered. the most significant edit: i burned away some small highlights on the bottom to emphasize the changes in gradation.
